the memory of reading Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, sitting in the verandah of an antique eighteenth-century castle once belonging to the Marquis of Villarena, in the traditional fishing village of Nerano on the Amalfi Coast.

This is a black and white single-layer polyester plate lithograph, polyester plates being a relatively recent and non-toxic medium in fineart lithography. The drawing is made directly on the plate, just like for stone lithography, and the ink is rolled on with alternating layers of water in between, and then hand-pulled from an etching press.
